The Top 3 Underrated Players in the MLB

The world of baseball has returned and now we are being inundated by the full onslaught of the rigorous MLB season. Major League Baseball is filled, top to bottom, with elite talent but it can be easy to let other superstar players slip through the cracks. Today we are going to highlight a few of the top players in the MLB that you may have otherwise overlooked!

Eric Thames 1B – Milwaukee Brewers

Alright, who could have ever guessed that 30 year old Eric Thames would be the best power hitter in all of Major League Baseball in 2017? Thames has erupted in 2017 as he’s put together a .370 batting average, 11 home runs, and 19 RBI through the first 20 games of the MLB season. If he can keep up this pace, while the Brewers keep winning, we could have a darkhorse MVP candidate.  Definitely going to be a feature of many sports documentaries on Netflix once his playing days are done.

Steven Souza Jr. RF – Tampa Bay Rays

The AL East is filled to the brim with the best MLB players (hello Boston) but we’re going down to Tampa Bay for this selection. Steven Souza Jr is the talented outfielder that is keeping Tampa Bay relevant. Through 21 games the 28 year old righty has a .330 batting average, 4 dingers, and 17 RBI.

Avisail Garcia RF – Chicago White Sox

It seems like we’ve been waiting for years for Avisail Garcia to ascend to stardom. Well, it looks like it finally happened. Garcia is leading the Chicago White Sox to a torrid start thanks to his absurd .373 BA with 4 long balls and 17 RBI through 20 games of baseball.
